2.IAMA1 Demonstration 2009

IAMA1 Demonstration 2009 is the 3rd section of the A1- project.

A Floating Highway is part of the A1- Project, an art in public space project that particulary concerns to the Highway A1.

It is a collective project initiated by the three art organizations Kunstlab Deventer, AKKUH Hengelo and Kunstvereniging Diepenheim.

The A1-project started in 2006 and will least to 2009. It was divided into three sections.

For each section six artists were invited to take art task of bringing public interventions to the open space on highway A1.

In the previous sections of the A1-Project, 12 art works has been already realized.

In 2009, as the ending phase of A1 project, Artist Jord den Hollander has jubilantly announced the concept of ‘Branding the Highway A1’. IAMA1 (read I AM A1) is the slogan of his concept. Again six artist were invited to participate; to study on the concept as well as take the art task.

These artist are: Peter de Cupere, Hans van Houwelingen, Giny Vos, Zoro Feigl, Loreta Visic and Mu Xue.
